Wedge Meters

INTRODUCTION

A group of restriction inducing elements with a V shape are wedge meters. With ability to permit fluid containing solids to pass through without a solid build-up, they cope with liquids, gas streams and steam flows. Wedge meters utilize differential pressure measurement and produce a square root relationship between differential pressure and volumetric flow. ERATECH wedge meter imparts all the benefits of DP measurement for difficult applications, with elements available for either clean or dirty fluids and are offered in a wide range of pressure ratings, materials and sizes. Coupled to a DP transmitter with high temperature remote seal technology, the wedge meter has no narrow impulse lines to block and the process temperature can be higher, reducing the risks of solidification.
